Farm animals are abused from birth to slaughter in a system that provides them with little legal protection. Despite scientific evidence that farm animals are sentient, emotional beings, harsh industry policies continue to put money ahead of compassion. We're doing everything we can to change that.
Advocacy
It hurts animals.
Factory farms, far from the utopian pastures depicted in advertisements, typically consist of large numbers of animals raised in extreme confinement, who are subjected to painful mutilations and are bred to grow quickly and large before being slaughtered at a young age.
It hurts our planet.
Animal agriculture produces staggering quantities of waste and greenhouse gases, polluting our land, air, and water and contributing to climate change, land degradation, and the destruction of ecosystems.
